OK, I am back to life after a busy Hammer of Doom weekend, but all the bands were great and almost all went smooth. We only had some technical probs on stage, but I think all in all it was a very good edition of the festival.
Now I am in the middle of booking the headliner for METAL ASSAULT. We are working on that a long time now and hopefully we have the band next week, keep your fingers crossed.
This week I have been listening to a lot of different stuff. Of course I had to blast the Conan The Barbarian Soundtrack in my car at maximum volume, but also the new VANDERBUYST, new GHOST, new SLOUGH FEG, THUNDERHEAD "Classic Killers Live", some brand new FORTE songs, classic MYSTIC FORCE and the brand new ADRAMELCH album had a few spins.
Parallel to Metal Assault we are working on a big surprise for HAMMER OF DOOM 5 in April. I hope everything will work out as planned, though the originally planned band seems to be getting too old for longer weekend trips...very disappointing....

Update 22.10.2010
Tomorrow we will celebrate the fourth edition of Hammer Of Doom Festival in Würzburg at the Posthalle...will be great meeting my friends from Solitude Aeturnus and all the other bands again. I hope to meet you all there.
Also I would like to tell you about a good new band I heard this week. It is AXEVYPER from Italy. I had no high expectations, because I was not so much into their former band ASSEDIUM, but this new band is really killer. They mainly focus on classic US Metal with sometimes a bit cheesy lyrics, but the music is great. Check out this song for example:

Also I am already booking bands for KIT 2012. It may sound funny, but it is never to early for that. I already got 3 great bands and am in talks with some great surprises. But also I have to mention, that some of the lately announced "big" reunions won't happen at KIT. I tried everything to have these bands play at KIT, too, but there is too much money involved and I do not want to risk the whole festival just to have these bands on KIT, though I really love them. At the moment there is really a lot of "business shit" going on and I do not want to be part of that and I think you all KIT fans will respect that. IF a band really wants to play at our festival we make it possible somehow, I know you know that, but we are not willing to go the high bidding monetary way, that is for sure...That is something I just wanted to mention and I think you will all understand...
So now back to HOD 4 preparation...with a bit of luck we may have a big surprise for HOD 5 for you, but we are not ready to talk about it yet..stay tuned..
